Job Summary
Reviewing applications for petroleum distribution insurance, the full-time Senior Underwriter for Excess Petroleum will evaluate risks, determine coverage levels and pricing, and ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Adhere to underwriting guidelines to accept, reject, or mitigate risks for insurance applications
- Review and analyze risk characteristics for various fuel distribution classes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations
- Collaborate with the underwriting team and cultivate relationships with assigned producers to achieve production goals
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 5 years of commercial P&C underwriting or related insurance experience required
- Experience underwriting commercial E&S policies required
- Experience underwriting excess petroleum policies strongly preferred
- Experience working for an MGA preferred
