Job Summary
Analyzing Financial Protection Products, the full-time Senior Underwriting Consultant will assess risk, provide rating methodologies, and develop pricing and plan design options while working remotely from anywhere within the U.S.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare financial modeling for reserve and budget calculations aligned with client strategies
- Evaluate risk for Life, LTD, STD, and supplemental health products, ensuring accuracy in renewals and proposals
- Deliver competitive proposals and renewal analyses, serving as a subject matter expert and mentor to junior underwriters
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in group insurance underwriting across various products
- Experience with large case underwriting and group pricing development
- Proficiency in mentoring and training others in underwriting practices
- Mastery of product provisions, plan designs, and funding arrangements
- Intermediate proficiency with MS Office suite, particularly Word and Excel
