Senior Unreal Engine Developer
Job Summary
Seeking a Senior Unreal Engine Developer to work remotely or hybrid in Cary, NC, who will lead the design and development of photorealistic digital twin environments in Unreal Engine 5, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior developers while establishing coding standards and best practices.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of immersive digital twin environments, integrating real-time simulation and visualization
- Collaborate with optimization experts and engineers to connect visualizations to real-time data and analytics
- Develop and optimize custom Blueprints and C++ modules for advanced simulation logic and user interaction
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 8 years of experience in developing interactive 3D applications with Unreal Engine, including proficiency in Blueprints and C++
- Production experience with Unreal Engine server/client architecture and network replication
- Experience integrating external data sources or APIs into real-time applications
- A portfolio showcasing shipped real-time 3D or simulation projects demonstrating photorealistic rendering and complex user interaction design
