Job Summary
Seeking a Senior Utility Electrical Engineer to join the team in a hybrid role, where the engineer will evaluate utility impact studies, provide engineering guidance for project integration, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on transmission and distributed energy resource projects.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate and provide actionable feedback on utility impact studies and project design changes
- Assist project developers in site evaluations and interconnection cost estimates
- Manage the technical aspects of the interconnection process and provide training to the internal engineering team
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant engineering and technical policy experience in renewable energy design and interconnection
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar; Master's degree preferred
- PE license preferred
- Strong understanding of interconnection standards, including IEEE and ANSI specifications
- Experience with power systems modeling software such as SKM, Aspen, or PSSe
