Job Summary
Seeking a Senior Utility Electrical Engineer to work hybrid or remotely, this full-time position will evaluate potential sites, write regulatory policy, and provide engineering guidance for integrating projects with utility systems across various ISOs and states.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate utility impact studies and provide actionable feedback on system upgrades and project design changes
- Assist project developers in site evaluations and interconnection cost estimates
- Manage technical aspects of the interconnection process and provide training to the internal engineering team
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant engineering and technical policy experience in renewable energy design
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's degree preferred
- PE license preferred
- Strong understanding of interconnection standards and distribution system impacts
- Experience with power systems modeling software such as SKM, Aspen, or PSSe
