Job Summary
Seeking a hybrid Senior Utility Electrical Engineer, this full-time position will evaluate potential sites, write regulatory policy, and provide engineering guidance for transmission scale and distributed energy resource projects across various ISOs in the U.S.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate and provide actionable feedback on utility impact studies and project design changes
- Assist project developers in site evaluations and interconnection cost estimates
- Manage technical aspects of the interconnection process and collaborate with utility engineers
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant engineering and technical policy experience in renewable energy
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar; Master's degree preferred
- PE license preferred
- Strong understanding of interconnection standards and distribution system impacts
- Experience with power systems modeling software such as SKM, Aspen, or PSSe
