Senior UX-UI Designer

Job Summary

To support NASA's Consolidated Applications and Platform Services contract, the full-time Senior UX/UI Designer will establish a design practice for data-heavy analytics applications, creating user interfaces for the aeronautics community while working remotely from anywhere in the United States, excluding certain states.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain the team's design system, including components and documentation
• Conduct user research to define personas and translate findings into actionable design decisions
• Produce high-fidelity prototypes and production-ready designs for dashboards and data visualizations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of related experience in designing data-heavy software products
• Demonstrated experience creating a design system from scratch
• Proficiency in Figma and strong skills in data visualization
• U.S. Citizenship required, with the ability to undergo a background investigation for NASA Public Trust eligibility
