Senior Vice President of Engineering

Job Summary

Leading a technology organization of approximately 30 people, the full-time Senior Vice President of Engineering will oversee engineering and platform/IT functions, drive technical execution, and ensure architectural integrity in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day engineering execution, technical quality, and architecture while partnering with the Chief Product & Technology Officer to align technical decisions with product strategy
• Develop and mentor engineering leaders, fostering a culture of ownership and high engineering standards while remaining actively involved in technical challenges
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of Covera's technology platforms and systems as they evolve with customer and data needs

Required qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive software engineering and technology experience, including leading engineering teams and managing complex software systems
• Demonstrated success in building high-performing engineering teams with a strong culture of accountability and technical excellence
• Deep technical expertise in modern software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and data architecture
• Strong product instincts with the ability to connect technology strategy to customer and business needs
• Experience in fast-paced startup or growth-stage environments, with a track record of effective cross-functional leadership
