Job Summary
Leading a team of VistA system administrators, the full-time Senior VistA System Administrator will configure, customize, patch, maintain, and support VistA systems used by the Department of Veterans Affairs, working remotely within Austin, TX.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a team in debugging, problem resolution, and prioritizing work for VistA system administration
- Create and implement plans for the effective management and maintenance of VistA systems
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and provide direct support to users while monitoring system performance
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer, VistA Developer, or VistA System Administrator in government IT environments
- Hands-on experience with configuring and patching VistA systems
- Experience managing teams and prioritizing critical problems in system administration
- Working knowledge of SAFe/Agile methodologies and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
