Senior Voice Engineer
Job Summary
To develop programmable voice capabilities and API-driven communications infrastructure, the full-time Senior Voice Engineer will design and build voice platforms using technologies such as FreeSWITCH, Kamailio, and Java while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop programmable voice services, APIs, and call-control capabilities for enterprise-scale communications platforms
- Build and extend voice infrastructure using FreeSWITCH, Kamailio, SIP, RTP, and WebRTC
- Implement call routing, session management, media handling, and voice traffic processing solutions
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with significant ownership of architecture and technical delivery for distributed applications
- Deep expertise with FreeSWITCH and/or Kamailio, including call control and media services
- Experience building API-driven communication platforms or CPaaS-style solutions
- Expert-level experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and REST APIs
- Strong understanding of voice infrastructure, real-time communications, and telephony troubleshooting
