Senior Voice Operations Engineer
Job Summary
Operating and modernizing a large infrastructure, the full-time Senior Voice Operations Engineer will maintain approximately 8,000 Linux systems and support telecommunications services, working remotely in the United States.
Key responsibilities
- Operate, secure, patch, and maintain Linux systems and associated LAMP and voice services
- Manage phone provisioning, configuration generation, and remote deployments across various phone models
- Automate fleet management and improve monitoring, incident response, and troubleshooting processes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Senior-level Linux administration experience across a large distributed production fleet
- Deep production experience with Asterisk, FreePBX, SIP, and IP telephony
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols and telecommunications systems
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python, along with experience in Git and configuration management tools
