Senior Web Browser Researcher

Job Summary

To enhance the accuracy and stability of device identification and fraud detection products, the full-time remote Senior Web Browser Researcher will independently explore and validate new techniques in modern web browsers, overseeing findings from initial discovery through engineering implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Independently research novel device-identification and bot-detection techniques across modern browsers
• Own findings end to end, assessing their actionability and delivering clear recommendations with impact estimates
• Build and maintain research tooling that surfaces new signals and detects browser platform changes automatically

Required qualifications

• Deep understanding of web platform fundamentals, browser internals, and web security concepts
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and ability to navigate code across multiple programming languages
• Proven ability to drive research from idea to validated, actionable results
• Recognized depth in at least one research area, with breadth across adjacent areas
• Clear communication of findings, impact, and trade-offs to engineering and product partners
