Senior WordPress Developer

Job Summary

Taking technical ownership of the global website, the full-time Senior WordPress Developer will build and maintain custom Gutenberg blocks, manage site security and performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the web platform in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain custom Gutenberg blocks and extend the WordPress architecture for scalability
• Manage site security, performance, and the build pipeline, including staging and deployments
• Collaborate with marketing and design teams to implement technical SEO and accessibility standards

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of strong WordPress engineering experience, including complex or multisite implementations
• Excellent knowledge of PHP, WordPress internals, and custom themes/plugins
• Proficiency in modern front-end technologies, including JavaScript (ES6+), React, HTML5, and CSS/SCSS
• Experience with development workflows, including Git, CI/CD pipelines, and structured deployment practices
• Understanding of performance, security, and infrastructure best practices for business-critical websites
