Shopify Developer

Job Summary

To support a growing portfolio of client projects, the mid-senior Shopify Developer will work remotely on a contract basis, focusing on building and extending Shopify storefronts and apps while collaborating with US-based founders and product owners.

Key responsibilities

• Own Shopify theme and storefront work from brief through launch across multiple engagements
• Build and maintain Liquid sections, templates, and theme architecture for merchant stores
• Implement Checkout Extensibility and custom Shopify apps as required by client briefs

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building production Shopify themes and/or apps with a portfolio showcasing real launches
• Experience in client-facing roles within an agency or consultancy environment
• Fluency in Liquid and theme development, including sections, snippets, and clean theme structure
• Familiarity with modern Shopify surfaces, including Checkout Extensibility and custom app development
• Strong English communication skills at C1 level or above, with availability for US hours overlap
