Shopify QA Specialist
Job Summary
To support a growing client base, the mid-senior Shopify QA Specialist will work remotely on a monthly retainer to test Shopify storefronts and apps, ensuring quality through effective bug reporting and collaboration with developers and project managers.
Key responsibilities
- Own QA for Shopify theme and storefront work from staging through launch across multiple engagements
- Design and execute test passes for various Shopify functionalities, including Liquid themes and checkout processes
- Write clear and actionable bug reports while collaborating with PMs and developers on launch readiness
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of experience testing production Shopify themes and/or apps with real merchant launches
- Experience in an agency or multi-client environment, managing multiple stores under tight deadlines
- Familiarity with Shopify features such as Online Store 2.0 themes, checkout, and discounts
- Proficiency with testing tools and ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, Linear) and some knowledge of automation tools
- Strong English proficiency (C1 or above) for effective communication in bug reporting and updates
