Short Term Disability Analyst

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Short Term Disability Claim Analyst 2 will acquire, analyze, and investigate medical, financial, and contractual information to make effective claim decisions while providing updates and support to clients navigating their short-term disability claims.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and investigate claims to make timely decisions based on medical and financial information
• Communicate with employers, employees, and medical providers to provide updates and clarify claim processes
• Supervise outstanding items to ensure compliance with regulations and quality guidelines

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of claims or customer service experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
• Strong proficiency with business unit products, processes, and systems
• Experience with short-term disability claims processing, including decision-making and customer communication
• Ability to adapt to frequent change and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred
