Site Reliability Engineer
Job Summary
As the first dedicated Site Reliability Engineer, the full-time remote position will manage and modernize Vida's infrastructure, consolidating Terraform repositories, improving automation, and enhancing monitoring and observability as the company prepares for new enterprise contracts.
Key responsibilities:
- Consolidate and document Terraform repositories, establishing conventions for state management and code review
- Normalize environments and enhance build and deploy automation in GitHub Actions, including drift detection and alerting
- Improve monitoring and observability in Datadog and Cloud Monitoring to proactively catch issues
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree at a minimum
- 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering with ownership of production systems
- Deep hands-on experience with Terraform, including module structuring and state management
- Strong knowledge of GCP, including GKE and Cloud SQL (MySQL and PostgreSQL)
- Production Kubernetes experience, including resource management and autoscaling
