Job Summary
To drive operations automation in a remote capacity, the full-time Site Reliability / Gitops Engineer will develop infrastructure as code practices, automate software operations, and enhance the resilience and scalability of Canonical's cloud and container portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and improve infrastructure as code practices within the Information Systems team
- Automate software operations for consistency across private and public clouds
- Collaborate with development teams to design service architecture and operational procedures
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or greater in computer science or a related engineering field
- Deep experience with operations in code, including version control and CI/CD
- Strong Python software development experience with large projects
- Practical knowledge of Linux networking, routing, and firewalls
- Extensive knowledge of cloud computing concepts and technologies
