Job Summary
Owning the web delivery layer for Reuters' content platform, the full-time Site Reliability Engineer will provision and maintain origin and CDN infrastructure, define reliability targets, and automate processes to enhance performance, all while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision and maintain origin and CDN infrastructure, including site hostnames and SSL enforcement
- Define and track SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets, leading blameless postmortems to drive improvements
- Automate repetitive delivery tasks and manage site upgrades, coordinating with internal teams and external clients
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience configuring highly scalable, customer-facing applications
- Proficiency in HTTP, caching, and CDNs for large-scale public sites
- Experience with at least one server-side language, such as Python or Node.js
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Ability to analyze application and cloud performance using logs, metrics, and alerts
