Snowflake DBA
Job Summary
To support the performance and reliability of a cloud data platform, the contract Snowflake DBA will manage the administration and maintenance of Snowflake environments, implement security controls, and monitor performance, all while working 100% remotely from Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica, or India.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the administration and day-to-day maintenance of Snowflake environments, including warehouses and databases
- Implement and maintain Snowflake security controls under senior guidance, including role-based access control and data masking
- Monitor query and warehouse performance, assisting in tuning and cost governance tasks
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of database administration experience, with 1-2 years in a production environment using Snowflake
- Solid SQL skills with experience in writing and troubleshooting moderately complex queries
- Working knowledge of Snowflake architecture, including virtual warehouses and Snowpipe
- Basic understanding of at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with data pipeline/orchestration tools such as Airflow or Fivetran
