Snowflake Developer
Job Summary
To support a dynamic Communications, Media & Technology project practice, the remote contract Snowflake Developer / Data Engineer will design and optimize Snowflake data solutions, write performant ETL/ELT transformations, and translate business criteria into technical specifications.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize enterprise-grade Snowflake data warehouses and data pipelines
- Write efficient, maintainable, and high-performing SQL queries, stored procedures, and UDFs
- Collaborate with Agile engineering teams to integrate data pipelines with external source systems
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience as a Snowflake Developer or Data Engineer
- Deep knowledge of Snowflake core architecture, including micro-partitioning and role-based access controls
- Strong proficiency in advanced SQL and performance tuning
- Proven experience developing detailed technical design documents and specifications
