SOC 2 Assessor

Job Summary

Expert-level SOC 2 Assessors will conduct remote, part-time assessments focused on evaluating internal controls against AICPA Trust Services Criteria, performing gap analyses, and compiling detailed SOC 2 Type 2 reports for clients in a project-based consultancy role.

Key responsibilities

• Test and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls related to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy
• Conduct gap analyses and readiness assessments to identify deficiencies in existing controls
• Compile audit findings into detailed SOC 2 Type 2 reports and provide remediation recommendations

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT security compliance, specifically with SOC 2 assessments
• Proficiency in cloud computing security and security governance
• Experience in security risk analysis and incident management
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
• Significant industry certifications may be considered in lieu of formal education
