Sociology Adjunct Faculty

Job Summary

Offering a part-time remote opportunity, the Sociology Adjunct Faculty will teach up to 3 courses per term, providing a student-centered learning environment and engaging in instructional best practices for adult learners.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction in synchronous or asynchronous seminars while maintaining virtual office hours
• Manage student correspondence and lead discussions to foster an inclusive learning environment
• Submit accurate reports on student grades and progress, ensuring compliance with academic policies

Required qualifications

• Master's degree specifically in Sociology
• 1-3 years of related practical/professional experience, preferably in online higher education teaching
• Exceptional computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and online education software
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with minimal supervision
• Commitment to student success and the ability to engage and inspire students
