Software Architect
Job Summary
To support a modernization mission, the full-time remote Software Architect will design, build, and maintain high-volume business logic on the mainframe while optimizing performance and refactoring legacy code for cloud integration.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor architecture to identify optimization opportunities and enhance mainframe performance
- Debug, troubleshoot, and analyze complex system interactions to ensure mission-critical applications run smoothly
- Extract business logic from legacy systems for migration or integration with cloud-based services
Required qualifications
- Experience as a software engineer on complex software projects
- Strong coding skills and solid development experience in languages such as Java, Python, or .Net
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and experience in developing scalable software
- Knowledge of architecture design, including microservices and containers
- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
