Software Architect

Job Summary

As the first dedicated Software Architect in a fully remote capacity, the successful candidate will own the end-to-end architecture, lead cross-cutting architectural initiatives, and strengthen best practices across engineering teams, ensuring scalability and reliability as the company grows.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a comprehensive end-to-end architecture picture, identifying risks and driving architectural changes
• Serve as the technical lead across the engineering organization, driving decisions and mentoring Staff-level engineers on system design
• Enhance design review practices and codify standards for observability, quality, and API evolution in collaboration with various teams

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years as an Architect for a 100+ engineering organization
• Proven ability to lead through influence and drive adoption of architectural standards across teams
• Deep expertise in distributed systems and backend architecture, with experience in Go, Kubernetes, and AWS
• Experience designing public APIs and SDKs at scale, focusing on versioning and multi-surface consistency
• Exceptional written communication skills, with a focus on clear documentation and decision-making
