Software Architect

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Software Architect will define architecture and design standards for software solutions, influence technical direction, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives while providing technical leadership to software engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Define and document solution architectures for applications, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and business objectives
• Lead high-level design decisions for complex projects, maintaining architectural consistency across applications
• Provide architectural oversight for system performance, reliability, security, and compliance, while mentoring software engineers in design thinking and technical decision-making

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering with a minimum of 7 years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in architecture or technical leadership roles
• Strong knowledge of enterprise and solution architecture methodologies and software design patterns
• Demonstrated experience architecting systems on AWS and proficiency with REST, GraphQL, and gRPC APIs
• Experience with microservices, containerized environments, and CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of HIPAA, data protection, and secure software development practices
