Software Architect
Job Summary
To drive the design and development of enterprise features and payment integrations, the full-time remote Software Architect will lead initiatives from conception to production while actively writing Java and mentoring engineering teams.
Key responsibilities
- Lead open-ended initiatives from a blank page to production, collaborating with Product and Engineering leadership
- Design high-risk systems end to end, creating clear design documentation and defining requirements and trade-offs
- Mentor senior engineers through design and code reviews, enhancing the team's design capabilities
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with hands-on ownership of production systems
- 5+ years of architecture experience as an Architect, Staff, or Principal Engineer
- 5+ years of Java experience, including web frameworks and the JVM ecosystem, with recent production use
- Production experience with AWS, Linux, relational databases, CI/CD, and observability tooling
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent applied experience
