Software Chief Engineer
Job Summary
As the senior technical authority for software across programs, the full-time remote Software Chief Engineer will provide cross-program technical leadership, ensuring the integrity and coherence of flight and ground software while setting technical direction and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide software technical leadership across various software domains, driving convergence toward a coherent architecture
- Resolve high-risk cross-cutting software problems and ensure timely technical decisions across programs
- Lead deep software technical reviews and communicate software technical direction clearly across the engineering organization
Required Qualifications:
- 15+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including roles as Chief Engineer or equivalent senior technical authority
- Proven success in providing technical direction across a software organization with 50+ engineers and multiple programs
- Strong understanding of the complete software lifecycle from requirements to deployment and maintenance
- Experience mentoring senior engineers and developing future technical leaders
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
