Job Summary
To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time remote Software Developer in Test (SDET) will develop and execute test plans and procedures, ensuring that information systems meet organizational standards and user requirements while utilizing strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test procedures for software and IT systems
- Lead testing efforts and document test results, providing analysis and resolution for identified issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables and adherence to project objectives
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- 10 or more years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
- Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG)
- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
