Job Summary
Designing and maintaining high-performance microservices and data pipelines, the full-time remote Software Development Engineer will contribute to the Business Process Optimization team, focusing on building scalable solutions for Workday's next-generation Agentic Workflow and Analytics Platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, code, and deploy production-ready microservices and streaming pipelines for core analytics and agentic engines
- Build scalable REST and gRPC APIs for seamless integrations with tools and observability frameworks
- Optimize high-throughput data ingestion and query execution on distributed event streams
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development engineering, focusing on production applications and distributed systems
- 3+ years of experience in programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, or Scala
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, gRPC, and event-driven streaming
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS infrastructure, and Apache Kafka or Spark pipelines
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
