Job Summary
Leading a team of engineers, the full-time Software Development Manager will oversee the development and operation of the developer.sas.com portal and its Azure infrastructure, ensuring site quality, performance, and accessibility while managing team operations and delivery roadmaps in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day team operations, including hiring, training, and performance reviews
- Own the delivery roadmap for the developer portal, balancing new capabilities and technical debt
- Oversee the Azure infrastructure for the portal, ensuring site availability and performance
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum of eight years of programming or testing experience, with at least one year in a supervisory role
- Experience with public-facing web applications using modern front-end frameworks like React
- Proficiency in deploying applications on public cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
- Experience leading development using Agile practices and tools such as Jira and Confluence
