Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, a Mid-Level Software Engineer will modernize and migrate legacy enterprise applications to AWS cloud services, focusing on application upgrades, database migration, and deployment support.
Key responsibilities
- Modernize and migrate Java/Groovy applications to AWS
- Enhance applications using Spring Boot and Gradle while maintaining existing business functionality
- Support PostgreSQL migrations and maintain integrations with APIs and other services
Required qualifications
- Experience in Java and/or Groovy development
- Proficiency with Spring Boot, Gradle, and PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, SNS, and CloudWatch
- Experience with REST/HTTP API integration and Linux/Unix administration
- Background in supporting or modernizing legacy systems
