Job Summary
Collaborating with internal engineers and the open-source community, the full-time remote Software Engineer II will enhance the conda ecosystem by designing and implementing features, acting as Feature Owner for projects, and engaging in community contributions.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers and open-source maintainers to improve conda and related plugins
- Design and implement features to modernize conda's performance and user experience
- Act as Feature Owner for projects, defining requirements and delivering solutions
Required qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional Python development experience
- Experience collaborating on open-source projects, including pull requests and code reviews
- Proven ability to work asynchronously with distributed teams across multiple timezones
- Experience participating in Scrum or similar agile development processes
- Track record of owning features from requirements definition through delivery
