Software Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance payment processing capabilities, the full-time Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain customer-facing payment APIs while ensuring system reliability and security in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, build, and scale customer-facing payment APIs with clear contracts and predictable behavior
• Lead complex engineering projects from requirements clarification to production, including testing and rollout
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, improving system performance and reliability

Required qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in building and maintaining customer-facing financial or payment APIs
• Experience with high-volume, highly available distributed systems focused on correctness and security
• Strong understanding of payment API concerns such as idempotency, retries, and handling partial failures
• Proven track record of leading complex engineering projects and coordinating with partner teams
• Fluency with AI-assisted engineering tools and experience in validating generated code
