Software Engineer
Job Summary
Assisting with the design, development, testing, and documentation of application programs, the full-time Software Associate Engineer will work remotely to analyze software requirements, debug issues, and participate in peer reviews while adhering to established project standards.
Key responsibilities
- Perform software analysis, including requirements development, coding, testing, and documentation
- Conduct operations and maintenance of existing systems, identifying areas for improvement
- Participate in regular meetings to provide status updates on current tasks and engage in peer reviews
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or 4 additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
- Knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript, C, Python, .NET Framework, and Java
- Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile Framework
- Exposure to cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) and database technologies (e.g., SQL, Oracle)
- Familiarity with test-first practices, including Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
