Software Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the end-to-end development of the SMS Adapter, the remote Software Engineer will build and maintain a secure connector that syncs invoice and vendor data from in-store systems to Ottimate's AP platform, ensuring reliability and ease of use for non-technical store operators.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the adapter for syncing data from in-store systems, starting with BRdata
• Design a reliable sync process with features like conflict handling and clear failure visibility
• Establish strong automated test coverage and manage packaging, updates, and installation for software on store-owned machines

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of strong software engineering experience with a track record of owning a product end-to-end
• Experience building software that runs on end-user machines, including packaging and distribution
• Solid database experience, including reverse-engineering schemas in third-party systems
• Proven ability to write dependable integration and sync code with observability
• Comfort operating with ambiguity in a fast-moving product area
