Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of CDI's learning platform, the full-time remote Software Engineer (Early Career) will collaborate with a Senior Technical Lead to build features, troubleshoot issues, and enhance the platform using modern technologies.
Key responsibilities
- Build and improve features for students and instructors, including learning activities and course management tools
- Collaborate with the Product team to break down product needs into clear tasks and deliver well-tested changes
- Utilize AI coding agents for feature implementation, bug investigation, and code exploration while maintaining a focus on quality and reliability
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with at least one hands-on engineering project involving shared codebases and code reviews
- Foundation in at least one programming language and understanding of web application basics
- Ability to read and modify code, troubleshoot problems, and test changes effectively
- Willingness to learn and critically evaluate AI development tools and their outputs
