Job Summary
Owning the agent experience, the full-time Software Engineer will drive the integration of AI agents with AssemblyAI, focusing on building skills, maintaining documentation, and enhancing the MCP server to ensure seamless developer interactions.
Key responsibilities
- Drive the agent experience by treating coding agents as first-class users of AssemblyAI
- Build and maintain agent skills for core products, ensuring correct integration
- Measure success through evals and benchmarks, tracking integration success rates and activation metrics
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience with solid full-stack fundamentals (Javascript and/or Python)
- Hands-on experience with coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex
- Experience writing prompts, skills, or agent instructions, with a focus on measurable outcomes
- Strong product sense for developer-facing work and clear technical writing skills
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and a strong bias towards shipping products
