Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the Virtual Care Platform, the full-time remote Software Engineer will implement, test, and ship features in a Python/Django codebase while diagnosing production issues and improving internal tools for clinical operations.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and ship small to medium-sized features across the Django monolith and its associated services
- Diagnose and fix production bugs, prioritizing issues based on patient impact
- Collaborate with senior engineers to clarify requirements and contribute to documentation and runbooks
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience, particularly with Python and Django
- Hands-on experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Strong testing habits and familiarity with automated test suites and CI
- Demonstrated debugging skills and ability to work through issues to a reproducible cause
- Openness to learning TypeScript and modern JavaScript tooling
