Job Summary
To enhance public sector solutions, the full-time Software Engineer will plan, develop, test, and implement software while collaborating with users and senior staff in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Plans, develops, tests, documents, and implements software according to specifications and industry best practices
- Converts functional specifications into technical specifications suitable for code development and evaluates user requests for feasibility
- Collaborates with end users to troubleshoot IT questions and generates reports, while providing technical assistance to less experienced team members
Required qualifications
- Relevant Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems preferred
- 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in software development
- Working knowledge of object-oriented programming and experience with reporting tools
- Exposure to automated testing, particularly test-driven development, is a plus
- Strong technical documentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff
