Job Summary
To support the Persistence team within the Compute division, the full-time Software Engineer will manage and improve a fleet of clusters, write Golang for infrastructure provisioning, and rethink low-level primitives to enhance the compute platform, with the option for remote work or in-office days in London.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and enhance the fleet of clusters running across multiple regions for customer code deployment
- Write Golang and use Terraform for infrastructure provisioning, while working with Nomad as the workload scheduler
- Own the reliability and performance of the compute platform, including on-call coverage for impactful improvements
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong preference for Golang
- Deep experience with virtual machines, file systems, and Linux
- Experience building and operating distributed systems at scale, focusing on performance and reliability
- Familiarity with schedulers and orchestrators for managing workloads, such as Nomad or Kubernetes
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling complex issues
