Job Summary
Seeking an experienced backend Software Engineer for a full-time remote position to design and enhance Ruby frameworks for REST APIs and workflow orchestration, while improving backend system performance and reliability.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and evolve shared Ruby frameworks for REST APIs and asynchronous jobs
- Modernize a large Ruby codebase through architectural changes and improved tooling
- Collaborate with product engineers to identify and address recurring engineering pain points
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years with Ruby
- Experience building and maintaining large Ruby applications and backend codebases

- Experience improving complex systems through architecture and performance enhancements
- Ability to create scalable abstractions and mentor engineers across teams
