Software Engineer - AI Systems

Job Summary

Focusing on the development of agentic systems, the full-time remote Software Engineer - AI Systems will design and build runtime environments for agents, integrate them with enterprise data, and ensure reliability and evaluation of multi-step workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build the runtime for agent execution, including planning, state management, and failure recovery
• Implement agent workflows from expert conversations to functioning agents, incorporating human-in-the-loop mechanisms
• Build evaluation frameworks for agent performance, ensuring reliability and observability across system releases

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, particularly with production systems
• Experience in building production LLM systems with multi-step workflows
• Strong understanding of LLM behavior and debugging non-deterministic systems
• Proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python, along with solid backend and cloud experience (AWS or equivalent)
• Familiarity with tool and function calling, and designing planning and execution loops
