Job Summary
As one of the first hires in a brand-new team, the full-time remote Software Engineer - California will build and shape a platform that industrializes software development by integrating coding agents and orchestrating workflows from tools like Slack and GitHub.
Key responsibilities
- Build triggers and orchestration for agent runs based on various inputs, including Slack messages and GitHub events
- Shape the context in which agents operate, integrating various systems and tools
- Partner with the CTO to define priorities, architecture, and overall direction for the software factory
Required qualifications
- Hands-on experience with coding agents and LLM tooling such as Claude, Codex, or Cursor
- Proven experience in building developer tooling, CI/CD systems, or platform infrastructure
- Strong background in delivering complex systems and leading engineering teams
- Ability to operate in ambiguity and contribute to a new team's roadmap
- Pragmatic judgment regarding build-vs-buy decisions in a rapidly evolving ecosystem
