Software Engineer for AI Systems

Job Summary

Building innovative agentic systems, the full-time remote Software Engineer for AI Systems will design and develop runtime environments, create production agents, and ensure reliability and evaluation metrics for complex workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build the runtime for agents, including planning, execution loops, and failure recovery
• Develop agents from domain workflows, implementing human-in-the-loop processes and feedback mechanisms
• Integrate agents with platform APIs and third-party systems, ensuring a traceable audit trail for automated actions

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including production systems
• Experience building production LLM systems with multi-step agentic workflows
• Strong understanding of LLM behavior, limitations, and debugging non-deterministic systems
• Proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python, with solid backend and cloud experience (AWS or equivalent)
• Experience with LLM APIs and designing planning and execution loops
