Job Summary
Supporting a mission-critical application modernization program, the full-time Software Engineer - Go (Golang) will maintain and enhance existing applications, troubleshoot software defects, and implement software patches while working in a hybrid environment from Reston, VA.
Key responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects in production applications built with Go (Golang), React/TypeScript, and PostgreSQL
- Develop, test, and implement software patches and enhancements according to the customer's release schedule
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and system runbooks
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of backend software engineering experience, including production development using Go (Golang) and SQL
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance existing production applications
- Experience working with unfamiliar or complex codebases and implementing changes safely
