Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Software Engineer II will develop and maintain payer customer implementations for the Authorizations suite, focusing on approximately 80% backend and 20% frontend development.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with senior engineers to fix bugs and implement features while hosting and consuming RESTful APIs
- Write unit tests, debug software, and modify application code to create enhancements
- Participate in collaborative development, code reviews, and on-call rotation for critical healthcare applications
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 4+ years of software development experience in an Agile environment
- Hands-on experience with Java and a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and backend development
- Experience with SQL databases, including writing and troubleshooting queries
- Familiarity with JavaScript and web application development, along with RESTful APIs and web services
