Job Summary
To support business operations, the full-time Software Engineer II will design, build, and maintain software applications remotely, leveraging modern programming languages and frameworks while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with software engineers and stakeholders to translate user needs into effective software solutions
- Enhance and maintain software applications by resolving bugs, rolling out new features, and optimizing performance
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code while producing and maintaining thorough documentation
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in software engineering, computer science, or a related field
- 2-5 years of experience in data warehousing, preferably in the insurance industry
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases and ETL/ELT tools
- Experience with version control tools like Git and testing frameworks such as JUnit
