Software Engineer II
Job Summary
To enhance developer workflows, the full-time remote Software Engineer II will maintain and grow local development tools, contribute to internal platform components, and identify and resolve bottlenecks in the developer experience.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and improve local development tools that support engineers in their daily tasks
- Contribute to key internal development platform components, including service templates and the developer portal
- Identify and fix bottlenecks in the developer workflow, using data to measure the impact of changes
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production software
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language (e.g., Kotlin, Java, Go, or TypeScript)
- Experience in building and maintaining core libraries and developer tooling
- Working knowledge of containers and cloud infrastructure (e.g., Docker, AWS)
- Solid grounding in testing practices and writing maintainable, well-tested code
