Job Summary
Focusing on the development of application networking solutions within the Elastic Cloud, the full-time salaried Software Engineer II will design and implement scalable features, integrate security controls, and collaborate with engineering teams to enhance platform performance and security.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable application networking features while integrating security controls
- Analyze performance metrics and conduct load testing to optimize networking features for improved efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address application networking requirements and troubleshoot issues
Required qualifications
- Hands-on experience developing software in Golang, particularly with networking components
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and its related technologies (e.g., Cilium, external-dns, Envoy Gateway)
- Knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their networking ecosystems
- Experience using AI tools to enhance code functionality and maintainability
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate knowledge-sharing initiatives in application networking
